The Graduate School is excited to announce that Sara Qian (PhD candidate with Drs. Munshaw & Shaddox) has advanced to the finals of UK GradResearch Live!, a research communication initiative that highlights graduate students’ research and their skills in communicating scholarly research to a general audience. We invite you to come support Sara during the finals on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 in Worsham Cinema in the Gatton Student Center. The event begins at 4:30 p.m.

Sara has shown a commitment to the importance of communicating research effectively to public audiences by engaging in the challenging process of condensing research into a compelling story presented in just under three minutes. This is no small feat!

Sara will be competing for a chance to win first or second place in the People’s Choice in the Pre-3MT.  People’s Choice winners are chosen by the audience, so the more supporters who are present, the better.

We hope to see you there to support Sara and to recognize the important research efforts of UK’s graduate students and postdoctoral scholars and fellows. You’ll find a list of all of the finalists and disciplines represented here.
