Weed Science

The study of all methods for vegetation management such as cropping systems and herbicides. Research is ongoing in the following areas:

  • grain crops - including corn, soybeans, wheat and canola
  • grass pastures and forage legumes
  • invasive weed control on non-crop sites
  • herbicide selectivity, resistance and mechanisms of action
  • integrated weed management
  • cover crops
