Dr. Maythem AL-Amery, a PSS graduate, was named a CESL STAR in a ceremony on December 4, 2017.  CESL is the Center for English as a Second Language at the University of Kentucky in the College of Arts and Sciences. 

A native of Iraq, Maythem earned his Master's degree at the College of Agriculture, University of Baghdad, Baghdad, Iraq.  He and his family came to the United States in 2011.  He has recently earned his Ph.D. in Integrated Plant and Soil Sciences under the guidance of Dr. David Hildebrand.  While a student at the University of Kentucky, Maythem published 4 articles and has more pending.  Congratulations and best wishes to Maythem as he continues his life journey!
