AREAS OF INTEREST

I am broadly interested in the agricultural applications and implications of nanotechnology.  Specifically, I investigate bioactive nanocomposites used as next-generation fertilizers and RNAi-enabled pesticides.  Little work has been conducted on the transformations and fate of these materials when introduced into complex systems such as soil and living organisms.  My work seeks to close this knowledge gap so that future agricultural solutions using nanotechnology can be used safely and sustainably.
