A postdoctoral researcher position is open at the Grain Crops Physiology Laboratory in the Department of Plant and Soil Sciences at the University of Kentucky (https://salmeronlab.weebly.com). The postdoctoral researcher will join an interdisciplinary team integrating aerial imaging technology with dynamic crop modeling to study genotype by environment by management interactions that enhance soybean productivity and seed composition.

This position provides numerous opportunities to interested candidates: (1) gain experience coordinating data collection from a regional team; (2) readily available dataset for publication on soybean N dynamics and biological N2 fixation; (3) develop skills in high throughput phenotyping with aerial imaging and in crop modeling. This is a regional project funded by the United Soybean Board.

Qualifications:  PhD in agronomy, crop eco-physiology, biology, or related discipline is required.Previous experience in aerial imaging or crop modeling is desirable but not required. Knowledge of statistical analysis software (i.e. SAS, R software).
