Kentucky Seed Improvement Association (KSIA) has been designated as the official seed certification agency for the state of Kentucky. No other organization or company has the authority to certify seed in Kentucky.  KSIA is a non-profit corporation composed of and directed by seed producers and conditioners and financed by membership inspections, and tag fees.  Seed certification is conducted by KSIA in close cooperation with faculty and staff of the Foundation Seed Project and Department of Plant and Soil Sciences, University of Kentucky.  KSIA is also a member of the international organization, AOSCA (Association Of Official Seed Certifiying Agencies)
